Free SEO tools that work as one workflow
Most free SEO tools are one-trick gadgets. These five chain together: find a keyword, turn it into a brief, write the snippet, and score the finished page, all in your browser. Pick a step or run the whole flow.
Keyword Ideas Generator
Type one seed keyword and get hundreds of related ideas, grouped by search intent: informational, commercial, transactional, and long-tail. Copy a whole group in one click.
Open the tool →SEO Content Brief Generator
Turn the keyword you picked into a ready-to-write brief: title options, search intent, target word count, a full H2 and H3 outline, and a FAQ block. No more blank page.
Open the tool →Meta Description and Title Tag Generator
Write title tags and meta descriptions that fit Google, with a live search preview and real pixel-width truncation checks so nothing gets cut off in the results.
Open the tool →On-Page SEO Content Analyzer
Paste your finished draft and target keyword to get an on-page score out of 100 with a priority-sorted fix list: keyword placement, title and meta length, density, headings, links, and alt text.
Open the tool →AI Prompt Builder
Pick a situation, fill in the blanks, and get an engineered ChatGPT or Claude prompt you can copy and run, so the AI drafts the section you just outlined instead of generic filler.
Open the tool →AI Tool Finder
Answer a few questions about your work and budget and get a shortlist of the AI tools actually worth your time, with honest notes on what each one is good and bad at.
Open the tool →AI Search Visibility Checker
Paste your page and score how likely ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini are to quote and cite it. Get a prioritized GEO / AEO checklist: entity schema, answer-first content, FAQ markup, author signals and freshness.
Open the tool →AI Stack Cost Calculator
Tick the AI and productivity tools you pay for and see your real monthly and annual spend instantly, broken down by category, with a hint of how much of it could be free.
Open the tool →LLM API Pricing Comparison
Compare the per-million-token API price of every major model (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek) and estimate your monthly bill from your own token volume.
Open the tool →The State of AI Tool Pricing 2026
Original research on what 30 AI tools actually cost: average and median monthly price, how many are genuinely free, and the cheapest and priciest categories. Free stats to cite.

Each tool hands off to the next. Run them in order and you go from a single idea to a published, validated page without leaving your browser.
Free tools optimize the page. They cannot tell you if the keyword is worth it.
Our tools make sure your page is well built, but none of them can see live search demand. Before you spend hours on an article, check that real people are actually searching for the term and that a newer site can rank for it:
- Monthly search volume so you only write for keywords with real demand.
- Keyword difficulty so you target the winnable phrases first instead of fighting giants.
- What competitors already rank for so your outline matches the intent Google rewards.
- Related and long-tail keywords you can fold into the same page for more reach.
Semrush offers a free trial with full keyword volume and difficulty data. Affiliate link: if you subscribe we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we would use ourselves. Disclosure.

Free SEO tools, questions answered
Are these SEO tools really free?
Yes. All of them run free in your browser with no signup and no usage limit. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored, so you can safely use them on unpublished drafts. The only paid product we point to is Semrush, for live keyword volume and difficulty data, and that is entirely optional.
Do I need an account or a credit card?
No. There is no account, no card, and no trial timer. Open a tool and use it. We make money only if you decide to try a paid tool like Semrush through one of our links, which costs you nothing extra.
In what order should I use the tools?
Start with the Keyword Ideas Generator to find a topic. Turn the winning keyword into an outline with the SEO Content Brief Generator. Write your title and meta with the Meta Description Generator. Then paste your finished draft into the On-Page SEO Content Analyzer to score it before you publish. Validate the keyword in Semrush at any point so you know the demand is real.
Will these tools replace a paid SEO platform?
For the on-page craft, mostly yes: structure, snippets, keyword placement, and scoring are all things you can do well for free. What a free tool cannot give you is live search data, backlink analysis, or rank tracking. That is why we pair the free workflow with a Semrush trial for the data layer.
